Headnine puts the focus on the story. Each story page contains everything you need to know about the story, including the story timeline, related headlines, related tweets from Twitter's most influential users and related opinions from all the major news sources.

We collect headlines from all the major news sources, automatically organize them by stories and timelines, and provide an easy way to follow stories with our Story Tracker.

Following stories

Our patent pending Story Tracker makes it easy to follow stories. It automatically tracks stories as they develop, builds the story timeline and sends Facebook notifications of story updates.

Following stories requires a Facebook account. Simply login with Facebook and click 'Follow' on stories to receive Facebook Notifications with the latest updates. You can also see the latest updates on followed stories in the top-menu 'Following' section on headnine.com, where you can also unfollow stories.

Please note that when you follow a story for the first time you will be asked to authorize Headnine app. Also Facebook notifications are only surfaced on the desktop version of Facebook.com.

Story rank

Our patent pending Story Rank allows you to view top stories according to your preferences. Stories are ranked based on the importance of the story (determined by the number of different sources that reported it) and the freshness of the story. Choose “Top Trending Stories” for more focus on newly published stories or “24h Top Stories” to view the most important stories of the past 24 hours.

The technology

Headnine Consolidation Engine reads thousands of news headlines each day from all the major news sources in the U.S, grouping similar headlines together into Story Pages. The Process is entirely automatic and uses our proprietary semantic analysis algorithms to group similar headlines and to link relevant stories and opinions. Our patent-pending tracking algorithm automatically tracks stories as they develop and builds the story timelines. Our patent-pending ranking algorithm automatically ranks the stories to display the top stories according to the user preferences.
